Massacre Ranch 1999 Restoration

massacre ranch
From l to r: Hugh Bunten, Susan Lynn, Bill Weber,
Sue Weeks, Mary Ryczkowski, and John Ryczkowski.

Six of us met at Massacre Ranch, on Saturday morning, June 19, 1999. Located in the western area of the NCA, Massacre Ranch was a stopping point for Emigrants. Today, Hunters frequent the area using the shelter during camp outs.

Our goal was to transform the pink two room structure into an inviting sage-green shelter. We were able to paint the building inside and out. We swept it out and gave a fresh coat of white to the interior. Thanks to Hugh's trusty generator and the "power painter" we were able to complete the whole project in only a few hours. Thanks to Susan Lynn for putting together a great lunch.
